Also, a foreign student can visit a doctor on their own, without contacting an insurance company, but in this case, the visit will be paid, even in a public health facility.
For emergency assistance, call 03. Emergency medical care is free, even if there is no VHI policy, but only if there is a threat to life or severe injuries. Such assistance includes emergency room or infectious diseases hospital services.. Emergency assistance is provided free of charge until the threat to life is removed.
Private medical clinics accept patients without a policy. But in this case you will have to pay for the provision of services yourself.
Additionally, according to the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation from 2 april 2003 -. N188 there is a list of infectious diseases, posing a danger to others and being the basis for refusing to issue or cancel a temporary residence permit to foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation. The list includes: disease, caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV infection), leprosy (Hansen's disease), tuberculosis, infections, sexually transmitted (syphilis, chlamydial lymphogranuloma (venereal), chancroid). That is, foreign citizens, who have the above diseases, are sent for treatment to their homeland.
